Hanover School District 28 bond question (4B) at the 2022 (El Paso County Consolidated) General Election - November 8, 2022 - PASSES

Hanover School District is asking the taxpayers to allow the District to acquire up to $13.8M additional debt financed via bonds and to fund these bonds by extending the 2002 Bond Approval.
 
The proposed debt would fund the following changes (for more details refer to the District Master Plan):
– Infrastructure changes to improve the health and safety at both schools
– expansion of Prairie Heights Elementary school (essentially doubling the size of the school)
 
Our plan is to fund the majority of these changes through a BEST grant (~70% funded through the state) and only to fund our required match (~30%) through bonds.
This proposed bond would not increase taxes above that allowed by the current 2002 Bond Approval (basically the District is not proposing to increase your taxes).
