Dear Parents and Guardians,

I am writing to inform you of an incident that occurred today within our school district. A student made a verbal threat toward other students, indicating an intent to bring a firearm to school to cause harm. We take all threats of this nature extremely seriously, and immediate action was taken.

The local Sheriff’s Department was notified and is currently conducting a full investigation. The student involved will not be attending school in the coming days as the investigation proceeds.

To ensure the continued safety of our students and staff, there will be an increased police presence in our school building tomorrow and at all school-related activities throughout the weekend. This is a precautionary measure intended to provide reassurance and maintain a secure environment for everyone.

Please know that the safety and well-being of your children is our top priority each and every day. We are committed to thoroughly investigating this situation and will continue to take every necessary step to protect our school community.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,

Mark McPherson
