The smell at PHE appears to be from an aging and undersized septic system, due to the increase of students in our overcrowded elementary school. We are working on ventilating the building and have the septic company and propane company en route to attempt to remedy the situation. All students are safe. We will need to close the elementary school for the rest of the day.

Caller ID will show a number with a (503) area code for voice call and text recipients. If you are a parent/guardian and did not receive the message, please contact your school to verify we have your correct contact information. It is important that we are able to reach our parents and community in situations such as these.
