Students and staff members should NOT come to school if experiencing any of the following NEW or worsening symptoms:
- Fever of 100.4°F or above, feeling feverish, or experiencing chills
- Recent onset of persistent cough (unexplained)
- Difficulty breathing or respiratory distress
- Sudden loss of taste or smell

Q: If my child tests positive for COVID-19, what should I do?
A: Your child must remain home and follow the "How Sick is Too Sick" protocols for COVID-19.
School health personnel maintain the authority to dismiss students showing symptoms consistent with illnesses currently circulating in the building.
When Students Become Ill at School
Parents or guardians listed as emergency contacts will be notified by school health staff when students become ill during the school day.
- Please verify that all emergency contact details in Alma Student Information System are current and accurate.
- We recommend establishing a pickup plan that allows for quick retrieval of sick students, including designating backup contacts if primary guardians are unavailable.
- Students displaying respiratory symptoms like coughing will be provided with a face mask upon request.
- Students sent home due to illness may not participate in extracurricular activities, athletics, or club meetings until they are cleared to return under the "How Sick is Too Sick" guidelines.
