I am thrilled to be the performing arts teacher at Hanover JSHS. It is a dream come true to return to my roots as a music teacher in a rural school. I am a Colorado Springs native, born in Peyton, CO, where my family had a small cattle ranch. My father was one of the original Flying W Wranglers in the 1950’s playing guitar and singing for the band. A love of music, horses, and the wide open countryside run deep in my veins and I am proud to be a part of the continuing legacy of Hanover Music and Drama Department.
My formal education includes earning a BM at the University of Arizona, a Master of Music from the University of Cincinnati, and a Bachelor of Music Education from CSU Pueblo. Go Thunderwolves!
I am currently an active substitute bassist for the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, The Chamber Orchestra of the Springs, and freelance for numerous occasions. I also belong to a surf band playing electric bass, play old-time fiddle music in a duet with my husband on guitar and manage my own string quartet which specializes in performing for weddings and special ceremonies. You may say I have a true Musical Life.
I look forward to meeting everyone during the school year for our student performances.
