Smart Snacks

Hanover School District adheres and Supports USDA’s Smart Snack in School standards for “All Foods Sold in Schools”.  These standards, required by the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, offer healthier snack foods to children, during the school day, supporting better health for our kids and help making healthy choices the easy choice by eliminating unhealthy junk food. 

The regulations provide nutrition standards, including limits for: New Picture (31)

  • CALORIES
  • Total Fat, Saturated Fats, and Trans Fat
  • Sugar
  • Sodium
  • Portion Size
